Project Details

MIH Advanced Aerial Inspections carried out an aerial thermographic and visual inspection of a 20 kWp photovoltaic installation in Sotira, Cyprus.

The inspection covered 80 PV modules, using the DJI Matrice 4T to capture thermal and corresponding visual imagery. The objective was to identify unusual temperature patterns and record their locations within the installation.

Thermal images were reviewed alongside visual photographs to assess the observed anomalies. Available information regarding known disconnected modules was also considered when interpreting the findings.

The inspection report presented the findings through annotated images, references to the corresponding modules and recommendations for further investigation. This provided the client with practical information to plan maintenance activities and any necessary electrical checks.

The project demonstrates how aerial thermography can identify issues that are difficult to detect through visual inspection alone, supporting informed maintenance decisions.
